Hello, friend, and welcome to the adventure!
In the time it has taken me to create this blog I have fed my new fish, Phelix, five pellets of Betta Bits, consulted my Aunt who is a retired florist about the Zinnias I planted last week, FaceTimed a friend from high school, brewed two pots of Folgers™, and dribbled cool water into melted candle wax for no reason. I also listed an assortment of different title pitches for this first post including, but not limited to, What Not to do in Case of an Emergency, Surviving College Bathrooms, and Hi, I'm Leigh. I couldn't quite find anything that really just settled in my bones the way I was hoping for, you know? I mean, in all reality, if my blog was a construction site this post would be like the guys in tuxes that have no understanding of carpentry holding shiny shovels and smiling at the ground breaking ceremony. The only legitimate purpose or rational behind it is to serve as a beginning. Now, you all are citizens behind the safety barrier brimming with excitement and anticipation to see what this project will become, or maybe you're angry picketers with nasty signs.. Ahh.. Either way, the ground is broken, the ribbon is cut, and construction is underway!
